Indians lose Brown/Grilli to injuries The Indians have announced that outfielder Jordon Brown will miss 6-8 weeks with a torn meniscus in his right knee, an injury that will require Brown to head to Cleveland next week for arthroscopic surgery and that also dashes Brown’s hopes to compete for a spot on the Indians 2010 roster. Also Friday, the Indians learned that non-roster invitee Jason Grilli has a right quadriceps tear just above his knee, which will also require surgery to correct. The injury and rehab put Grilli’s 2010 season in serious jeopardy, he was expected to compete for a spot in the Tribe’s bullpen. The veteran Grilli will have a second physician examine him before determining if he will have the surgery. The club expects to know by early next week how long he will be out.
