Baker leads Dodgers 1-0 blanking of TwinsMinnesota starter works 7 1/3 shutout innings
The Twins (34-45), who were drubbed 15-0 on Monday before winning 6-4 last night, took a 1-0 lead in the first. Ben Revere led off with a triple to right. Tsuyoshi Nishioka proceeded to foul off four straight two-strike pitches before grounding out to score Revere. That was the lone run that Minnesota managed off Rubby De La Rosa and the Dodgers, but it was able to make it hold up. L.A. (36-46) had a runner in scoring position in three innings against Baker, but only once with less than two outs. Baker, who struck out nine while walking just one, improved to 6-5. Glen Perkins recorded the final two outs of the eighth inning before Matt Capps came on to notch his 13th save in the ninth. Rubby De La Rosa turned in a solid performance in a losing effort. He allowed just one run on six hits in seven innings. Revere went 2-for-3 for Minnesota and had the only multi-hit game for either team.
