White Sox raising money for victims in Haiti
The Chicago White Sox are lending a hand to those affected by the 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Haiti. This weekend the fans will have the chance to make donations via cash or credit at the White Sox charities booth during Sox Fest at the Palmer House Hilton.
The White Sox will also launch a special online auction at whitesox.com/auctions. All proceeds will go to relief efforts in Haiti. The team will then match the total amount raised through the White Sox charities and make a contribution to UNICEF.
The Sox will also take their earnings from their monthly online auction items and donate it to relief through UNICEF. If fans cannot make it to Sox Fest they can make donations at www.whitesox.com/donate .
