Arizona Diamondbacks Historical Records & Data

Arizona Diamondbacks hats

The Arizona Diamondbacks began their brief history in 1998 entering the NL West while the Tampa Bay Devil Rays were added to the AL East the same season. Unlike the Devil Rays, however, the Diamondbacks enjoyed much early success winning the NL West in 1999, 2001 & 2002 and winning the World Series in 2001. The World Series Championship team of 2001 was led by hard-throwing pitchers Randy Johnson & Curt Schilling and defeated the favored New York Yankees 4 games to 3. Today’s Arizona Diamondbacks team is led by starting pitcher Brandon Webb, the 2006 NL Cy Young Award winner and 2008 NL Cy Young runner-up.
