The Detroit Tigers have re-emerged in the past few years as one of baseball's best as they play their home games at Comerica Park in Detroit. After years of losing baseball in Detroit, the Tigers woke up under manager Jim Leyland in 2006 to win 95 games, take the AL Wild Card, and advance to the World Series as the American League Champions. With big-names like Magglio Ordonez, Ivan Rodriguez, Gary Sheffield and more, it's no wonder that the Tigers are expected to be AL Championship contenders once again in 2008.
