Arizona Diamondbacks 2009 offseason moves
- Traded LHP Scott Maine and INF Ryne White to the Chicago Cubs for RHP Aaron Heilman.
- Agreed to terms with RHP Blaine Boyer and INF Augie Ojeda on one-year contracts.
- Agreed to terms with RHP Bob Howry on a one-year contract.
- Agreed to terms with INF Kelly Johnson on a one-year contract.

- Agreed to terms with RHP Tim Hudson on a three-year contract.
- Agreed to terms with OF Matt Diaz on a one-year contract. Declined to offer 2010 contracts to OF Ryan Church and 2B Kelly Johnson.
- Agreed to terms with INF Troy Glaus on a one-year contract.
Baltimore Orioles 2009 offseason moves
- Traded RHP Chris Ray and a player to be named to Texas for RHP Kevin Millwood and cash.
- Agreed to terms with RHP Matt Albers and RHP Cla Meredith on one-year contracts. Declined to offer a 2010 contract to RHP Brian Bass.
- Agreed to terms with LHP Mike Gonzalez on a two-year contract.
- Agreed to terms with INF Garrett Atkins on a one-year contract.
Boston Red Sox 2009 offseason moves
- Agreed to terms with LHP Fabio Castro on a one-year contract. Claimed RHP Ramon Ramirez off waivers from Tampa Bay.
- Acquired RHP Boof Bonser from Minnesota for a player to be named.
- Agreed to terms with RHP John Lackey on a five-year contract and OF Mike Cameron on a two-year contract.

- Agreed to terms with OF Marlon Byrd on a three-year contract.

- Agreed to terms with SS Omar Vizquel on a one-year contract.

- Agreed to terms with 3B Scott Rolen on a two-year contract extension through 2012.

Cleveland Indians 2009 offseason moves
- Acquired RHP Mitch Talbot from Tampa Bay to complete an earlier trade. Agreed to terms with RHP Saul Rivera on a minor league contract.
- Agreed to terms with OF Austin Kearns and UT Shelley Duncan on minor league contracts.
Colorado Rockies 2009 offseason moves
- Agreed to terms with C Miguel Olivo on a one-year contract.
Detroit Tigers 2009 offseason moves
- Agreed to terms with LHP Brad Thomas on a one-year contract.
- Traded OF Curtis Granderson to the New York Yankees for OF Austin Jackson and LHP Phil Coke. Traded RHP Edwin Jackson to Arizona for RHP Max Scherzer and LHP Daniel Schlereth. The Yankees sent RHP Ian Kennedy to Arizona to complete the trade.
- Agreed to terms with INF Ramon Santiago on a two-year contract.
Florida Marlins 2009 offseason moves
- Traded RHP Matt Lindstrom to Houston for RHP Robert Bono and INF Luis Bryan.
- Agreed to terms with C Ronny Paulino on a one-year contract. Declined to offer a 2010 contract to OF Alfredo Amezaga.
- Agreed to terms with RHP Ricky Nolasco on a one-year contract.
Houston Astros 2009 offseason moves
- Agreed to terms with RHP Roy Corcoran, RHP Casey Daigle, RHP Gary Majewski, 2B Drew Meyer, INF Oswaldo Navarro, OF Alex Romero, RHP Ryan Sadowski, and 1B-3B Chris Shelton on minor league contracts.
- Acquired RHP Matt Lindstrom from Florida for RHP Robert Bono, INF Luis Bryan and a player to be named.
- Agreed to terms with 3B Pedro Feliz on a one-year contract. Sent INF Jorge Jimenz to Florida to complete an earlier trade.
- Agreed to terms with RHP Brandon Lyon on a three-year contract.
- Agreed to terms with OF Jason Michaels on a one-year contract and LHP Gustavo Chacin on a minor league contract.

- Agreed to terms with C Jason Kendall on a two-year contract and with LHP Adam Bostick, LHP Bruce Chen, RHP Devon Lowery, 1B Ernesto Mejia, RHP Francisco Rosario and C Vance Wilson on minor league contracts.
